Subject: latency problems in complex chainsetup

Dear list,
another question and again concerning my multi track recording
project.
I am trying to implement Punch-IN/Punch-OUT functionality. I use -klg
controllers to fade in and out the record and monitor chains. Here is
a simplified version of the chainsetup used still exhibiting the
problem:
c-add metronome
c-add alt
cop-add -ea:100
ctrl-add -klg:1,100,0,4,49.500000,0,49.600000,1,144.400000,1,144.500000,0
c-add __pipo
cop-add -ea:200
ctrl-add -klg:1,200,0,4,49.500000,0,49.600000,1,144.400000,1,144.500000,0
c-add __record
cop-add -ea:200
ctrl-add -klg:1,0,200,4,49.500000,0,49.600000,1,144.400000,1,144.500000,0
c-select metronome
ai-add tracks/metronome.wav
c-select alt,__pipo
ai-add tracks/alt.wav
c-select __record
ai-add alsahw,0,0
c-select metronome,alt
ao-add alsahw,0,0
c-select __pipo,__record
ao-add __pipo.wav
cs-set-length 145.00000
cs-set-position 43.6000000
The complete chainsetup has other playback tracks and uses a loop
device for playback and has lots of additional effects.
Before starting this chainsetup, tracks/alt.wav is copied to
__pipo.wav to initialise the new recording. Playing back metronome, wav
and __pipo.wav after recording shows a huge latency in the newly
recorded part (from second 49.6 onward). Comparing to the
metronome, I'd approximate the latency to about 0.2s, thats about
10,000 frames.
Any idea, what I can do about this?
Stefan
