Hello all,
to make contributing to ecasound a tiny bit more attractive, I'll start
maintaining a list of contributors for each stable release. In other
words, if you contribute something, your name will be mentioned in the
announcement letter posted to various mailing lists and web sites.
I think this is also a nice way to show that ecasound is not just a one
man project - far from it.
So, so, not to make it too easy, I'll have three categories:
1. Patches
- any code, documentation, etc that ends up in the distribution
2. Bug hunting
- any bug reports that have led to a fix in the stable
release in question
- the more helpful the bug report, the more likely to
get your name mentioned
3. Feature proposals
- any feature (or implementation) ideas proposed
(privately or on ecasound-list) that end up being
implemented in the stable release in question
- i.e. help to develop ideas on ecasound-list, and oh yes,
you will be famous :)
... originally I wanted to do this already with the 2.2.0 annoucement, but
it turned out to be quit difficult to gather what everyone has done
afterwards... it wouldn't have been fair to mention only a few people.
And as I really appreaciate all the help I get, I don't want to forget
anyone. :)
PS Of course, those who've made bigger contributions (all patches
and similar stuff) are still added to the README file as
has been done before... it's just that not too many people
read the README. ;)
