I have also become familiar with this type of problems with the same
version of ecasound. In fact, most troubles I get when I have tried to
rewind and forward a cs after it has played to its end. The cs rarely
works after such tweaking without re-starting the ecasound.
(Does not require there to be any loop devide present).
