I just came up with this idea... might prove to be useful:

For people who are not using ecasound, the most interesting aspect is
probably the language bindings provided via ECI (implementations already
available for C, C++, perl, php, python and (e)lisp).

PS For jackit-devel-only people: edi = Ecasound Development Item;
basicly an ultra-simple version of python's PEP system; might be
good for JACK, too...
