As for the options, I understand delay-time-msec. variance-time-samples is not clear-- does it refer to the number of samples that return as 'delayed?' feedback-% is not clear. I tried settings ranging from 30 - 100. lfo-freq is not clear either. What does this refer to? I tried settings on that ranging from 0-3000. Noticing that it had to do with frequency, I tried 440 and thought it would do something, but no 'chorus' effect. Again, it is a nice delay effect.

For these ones you will want to pass it along with the original signal (as Patrick has noted) but for the delay and lfo (low frequency oscillator!) frequency settings it is preferable use low values to get the correct effect. chorus and flanger are simply short (few ms) delay lines with the lfo slightly detuning the original signal.

try this:

ecasound -a:1,2 -i /dev/dsp -a:1 -etc:30,100,67,0.1 -a:1,2 -o /dev/dsp
