Someone really should fix this. ;) This is probably the bug described by
edi-1, http://www.wakkanet.fi/~kaiv/ecasound/edi.html:

(edi-1): Initial reverb-spike with the -ete reverb.

Nobody has had time to look at this issue, so it's still open.
The original effect code is written by Stefan Fendt (see
http://members.ping.de/~stefan/ ), but he's not maintaining
the version in ecasound (I made the port to C++). I do intend
to fix this at some point, but at the moment I can't say when.
It'd be great if someone could take a look at this issue.
