Subject: [ecasound] LADSPA problems

Hi,
Sorry for the newbie post (is there a better forum for basic problems?).
I compiled ecasound (2.0.1) for my machine and installed LADSPA SDK some time
later. Both instalations were successful, however ecasound doesn't seem to
know about LADSPA (The error message is something like "unable to parse
-el:sine_fcac,440,1" for example).
Do I need to recompile ecasound with a certain switch? I've tried setting the
LADSPA_PATH variable in my .bash_profile and also changing the equivalent
path in my .ecasoundrc file to where my plugin .so files are located, but
these changes don't solve the problem. Then again, the installation
instructions for ecasound don't mention anything specific about compiling
with LADSPA support.
Any suggestions?
