Because alsa:out_X is an input port. :) It's a port to which you send
audio. All data written to alsa:out_X is sent to the soundcard (->output).
From ecasound's point of view, alsa:out_X is a jack input port, as
ecasound can send data to it.
Thinking of analog cables helps here. :)
