Hello,
I've tried ecamegapedal on another machine which runs kernel 2.4.1 with
low latency patch, and ALSA 0.5 (which seems to gain so much
low-latency and very efficient processing).
It's amazing. It's cool. Yes.
By the way, it segfaults on running hermes filter.
Am I meant to be surviving this ?

I'd say go for it.
I'd like to have this kind of hierarchy.
/usr/share/ecasound/ecasoundrc
/etc/ecasound/ecasoundrc
~/.ecasoundrc
/usr/share/ecamegapedal/ecamegapedalrc
/etc/ecamegapedal/ecamegapedalrc (or maybe, /etc/ecasound/ecamegapedalrc?)
~/.ecamegapedalrc
where the top ones are read first, and the values can be
overridden.
