Help! I'm desperate!

I have a large collection of MP3 files (a radio music library), and I've
found a few that ecasound refuses to play. If I open the same file w/ mpg123
I get a 'junk at the beginning' error - but it plays OK. Ecasound evidently
exits on that error. Any way to force ecasound to ignore it & play the file?
