Did you compile the develepment version of ecasound or use the rpms. Like you
I have rh7, kernel 2.4.1 & gcc-2.96-69/gcc-c++-2.96-69. I tried to compile
ecasound1.9dev2 and came up with the following error:

In file included from eca-audio-objects.h:11,
                 from eca-chainsetup.h:10,
                 from eca-main.h:13,
                 from eca-control.cpp:32:

allocator<unsigned char>, 0>':

Please submit a full bug report.

Actually I tried with ecasound-1.9dev1 and had the same problem. I would
summit a full report to the gcc crowd but I'm not sure exactly what the
problem is. Any ideas?
