Few ALSA 0.6.x changes'n'updates in the CVS-tree to ecasound's ALSA 0.6.x
plugin. The biggest addition is...:
--cut--
- added: support for ALSA 0.6.x named pcm-devices; the new
syntax is '-[io]:alsa,pcm_name'; alternatively,
'-[io]:alsahw,card,dev,subdev' and '-[io]:alsaplugin,
c,d,sd' can also be used; doesn't affect 0.5.x and
older ALSA plugins
--cut--
In addition, the 0.6.x plugin now understands the new rt-buffering
options. So with "-z:nointbuf", ALSA is configured to only use
'3*ecasound_fragment' worth of internal buffering, while without the
option, ALSA devices can utilize all device buffer space.
OSS (/dev/dsp) devices already behave this way.
