I set debugging to full. Replacing the audiopci with the sblive took care
of the delays I was seeing. There is a small delay with the sblive, but
it is tolerable.

> Delays between what and what? Do you mean in real time, reading/processing/writing back to /dev/dsp? If so it sounds a lot like a problem I had and still have with an SBLive except that I've never seen such errors as you mention. How much debugging have you set upon compiling alsa?
