Hi,
I'm new to higher-end Linux audio, and have just picked up a Delta 66. So far, I'm very impressed with ecasound - it seems to be one of the very few apps out there that isn't crippled by the usual batch of assumptions.
I'd guess that most folks here are using ALSA, but I grabbed the latest OSS drivers, and have to say that they're looking pretty good for the Envy24 cards. Pricey, but at least you get something for it. Anyway, this report is simply to say that adding the appropriate S32_le case in audioio-oss appears to result in correct 32 bit functionality with ecasound. I haven't gotten ecawave running yet to look at and verify that there is data in the lower 16 bits, but 32 bit wave files are created and replayed correctly. I haven't found anything else that can grok 32 bit wave files, though, so I've only replayed them through ecasound.
thanks
Doug.
