Hello,
as the subject says, I've added support for aRts input/output to
ecasound 1.8.x (currently in CVS, enabled with --enable-arts).
Although ecasound is written C++, I still used the C-API. By the way, you
might want to add 'extern "C"...' wrappers to artsc.h, just in case.
As ecasound is built around a central library, artsd support
is available in all eca-apps (ecasound, ecaplay, qtecasound, ecawave,
etc). Here's a simple console-mode example:
ecasound -a:chain1 -i some.mp3 \
-a:chain2 -i someother.mp3
-a:chain1,chain2 -o arts
Mixes the two files and outputs using artsd. But, now back to testing...
