You could make a branch for the 0.6 changes, that way those of us wishing
to check it out can, then when 0.6 hits API freeze, you can merge that
branch back into the default tree.
and if you are wishing to test the 0.6 sources, better to ask Kai for the
existing patch, because that patch, and the adjusted files, were on
pongo. :(
